ABSTRACT

Network security is defined in this paper on the basis of Honeynet technology in reference to honeypots. Honeynet & Honeypots are used in the area of Computer Networks and Network Security. Honeypots are a novel approach to network security and security research alike. The primary purpose of a honeynet is to gather information about threats and this information is used to better understand threats, how they are evolving and changing, and how to best counter those threats.
