TSUNAMI .doc (Paper Presentation)

ABSTRACT: -

Earthquakes and Tsunamis strike without warning. The resulting damage can be minimized and lives can be saved if the people living in the earth quake-prone area are already prepared to survive the strike. This requires a warning before the strong ground motion from the earthquake arrives. Such a warning system is possible because the energy wave released at the epicenter travels slower (at 3.5 to 8km/s) than light, which is the principle behind developing this application.

The warning signal from the earthquake or tsunami epicenter can be transmitted to different places using the satellite communication network, fiber-optics network, pager service, cellphone service or a combination of these. The satellite based wireless network such as ISS is idle if system has to cover a large continent like ASIA.

The credential part of the paper lies in the applications

Storage Area Network .doc (Paper Presentation)

ABSTRACT

As we are moving to a new global world where the essence of storing the data plays a vital role in handling many computer related projects and in many other fields. This global age is mainly grounded by the internet and the way we handle our own networks.

Traditionally, data storage resides on hard disks that are locally attached to individual servers. This is known as Direct Attached Storage (DAS). A Storage Area Network (SAN) is a separate “network” dedicated to storage devices and at minimum consists of one (or more) large banks of disks mounted in racks that provide for ‘shared’ storage space which is accessible by many servers/systems. A SAN functions as a high-speed network similar to a conventional local area network (LAN) and establishes a direct connection between storage resources and the file server infrastructure.

Smart Antenna .doc (Paper Presentation)

ABSTRACT

One of the most rapidly developing areas of communications is “Smart Antenna” systems. This paper deals with the principle and working of smart antennas and the elegance of their applications in various fields such a 4G telephony system, best suitability of multi carrier modulations such as OFDMA etc..,

This paper mainly concentrates on use of smart antennas in mobile communications that enhances the capabilities of the mobile and cellular system such a faster bit rate, multi use interference, space division multiplexing (SDMA),increase in range, Multi path Mitigation, reduction of errors due to multi path fading and with one great advantage that is a very high security. The signal that is been transmitted by a smart antenna cannot tracked or received any other antenna thus ensuring a very high security of the data transmitted. This paper also deals the required algorithms that are need for the beam forming in the antenna patters.

The applications of smart antennas such as in WI-FI transmitter, Discrete Multi Tone modulation (DMT), OFDMA and TD-SCDMA is already in real world use is also incorporated
